Before receiving significant Australian media coverage, Sydney-based Soul/Pop R&B artist Anika Joshi was already finding listeners overseas, building an audience across the UK and US through her heartfelt songwriting, rich soulful vocals, and a blend of soul, pop, R&B and jazz influences. Following the release of her debut EP Radiance, she has independently reached over 100,000 streams and received radio support across the world. Her music has been championed by triple j through Soul Ctrl, alongside international radio and press support from Islington Radio, Sonic Buffet, FEMMUSIC Magazine, and The Other Side Reviews.
Joshi has supported soul artist WILSN on a sold-out tour date, Joel Leggett for a sold-out show, as well as lineups/upcoming lineups with Ash Morse, Ruby Jackson, Southey, and Motta Maadi Music. Her engaging and lush sounding sets have played, and will soon be playing at some of Sydney’s key live rooms, including Manning Bar, Mary's Underground, Oxford Art Factory, Soda Factory, The Lansdowne Hotel, Low 302, and Bootleggers.
The track is a piano ballad with a powerful climax, softening the groove as it dives into her poeticism to reflect the feeling of being stuck in the timeline of a tumultuous relationship, even after the other person has already swum away.
